There are many honing machines available today, so today I will introduce how small hole honing machines are used for honing. There are two commonly used types, which are classified according to meshing method and pressure application.
1. According to the meshing method:
(1) External gear honing method: honing the external gear with an external honing wheel;
(2) Internal meshing honing method: honing the external gear with an internal honing wheel, or honing the internal gear with an external honing wheel.
2. According to the type of pressure applied:
(1) Variable pressure honing method: before honing, adjust the initial pressure, and then fix the center distance. With the honing, the pressure gradually decreases until it nearly disappears. This method can greatly correct gear eccentricity, but the load on the honing wheel is large and the honing machine is prone to damage. This method can be achieved on general gear shaving machines;
(2) Constant pressure honing method: During the entire honing process, a constant pressure is maintained between the honing wheel and the workpiece. This method has strong ability to correct errors, high efficiency, and long service life of the honing wheel. However, it requires the machine to maintain constant pressure and can be achieved using hydraulic mechanisms or heavy hammers. Hydraulic systems have different types of structures and usage conditions.
In order to meet the requirements of the honing machine system, hydraulic oil needs to have some properties, such as viscosity, viscosity index, relative density, wear resistance, low-temperature properties, acid value, flash point, oxidation, demulsification, hydrolysis, foaming, release, shear, rust resistance, and filtration.
