摘要:

Grinding technology is a processing method that utilizes abrasive particles to remove materials. The process of removing materials with abrasive is an early production process used by humans. In the mid-19th century, a cylindrical grinding machine emerged, which used natural abrasives such as quartz and garnet to knock and chisel into grinding tools, and then sintered them with natural abrasives and clay. Subsequently, a surface grinding machine was successfully developed, and the application of grinding technology gradually formed.

After 1901, artificial melted alumina (corundum) and silicon carbide abrasives were successively invented. In the late 1940s, artificial diamonds were introduced. In 1957, cubic boron nitride was successfully developed. The application of superhard abrasive artificial diamond grinding wheels and cubic boron nitride grinding wheels, as well as the development of grinding technology, have continuously improved the accuracy and efficiency of grinding processing, and expanded the application range of grinding processing. Before liberation, China's grinding machine industry and abrasive industry were completely blank. After liberation, China continued to establish modern grinding machine, abrasive, and grinding tool manufacturing factories and professional research institutes, creating a large number of specialized technical teams engaged in grinding machine design and manufacturing, grinding machine and grinding tool research, and manufacturing. Before 1995, black, green silicon carbide and white, brown corundum were trial-produced and produced, and grinding tools were gradually developed. In 1963, China's artificial diamond was successfully synthesized and put into mass production in 1966. Subsequently, cubic boron nitride was successfully developed in 1967 and put into mass production in 1974. China has a long history of research on high-speed grinding, and in the late 1970s, grinding process experiments of 80mm/s and 120mm/s were conducted; In the past few years, it was also planned to conduct grinding research at 250mm/s.

The development history of honing mills today has reached a new milestone. High speed and efficient grinding, as well as ultra high speed grinding, have developed rapidly in some industrialized countries such as Europe, the United States, and Japan. Some have completed experiments at speeds of 250 mm/s, 350 mm/s, and 400 mm/s in laboratories.
